Applied Social Research

The aim of the program is to apply the evidence-based, analytical research to study social, cultural, and political processes and changes occurring in the contemporary Georgian society. For this purpose, we use both quantitative and qualitative research methodology. Furthermore, we consider triangulation as the most effective means of gaining comprehensive data about our society.

Our research focuses on such topics as policy related issues: socioeconomic transformations, changing cultural values, education and development, gender equality, youth issues, media, etc. However, it is not limited to the abovementioned topics. Generally, the program is designed to support the research agenda of other programs with empirical data within the Center of Social Sciences.

Our priority is to become a part of international research networks and get involved in the ongoing longitudinal cross-cultural researches.
