Short description:Concept and theories of modernization, typology of cultures on the basis of modern and traditional cultural characteristics, modernization as one of the stages of development in western society and questions of modernizations and globalizations are introduced in the book. Authors also discuss the topics such as: contemporary modernized world society facing challenges of globalization; relations between concepts of modernization and westernization, future perspective seen by representatives of western and nonwestern cultures. At final part of the book “small cultures”, problems of modernization and problems of modernization towards Georgian culture are introduced in the book.
