Bio: Dimitri Gugushvili is a social policy researcher, specialising in welfare states and poverty studies. He is currently undertaking PhD research at the University of Kent which seeks to understand the impact of Neoliberal development model on poverty in Georgia. Prior to joining the University Dimitri worked at UNICEF and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia for several years. He holds two master's degrees, in Policy Studies (obtained at the University of Edinburgh) and Social Sciences (obtained at Tbilisi State University). In addition to academic papers and articles Dimitri has produced a number of policy documents and reports for various organisations, including UNICEF, WHO, Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs and EveryChild.
