Can different countries choose their own paths towards Europeanization? How do these paths differ in case of the selected EU members and aspirant countries? This panel will discuss the possible pathways to Europeanization of Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, and Spain based on the data of the recent analysis of popular media outlets. The six to eight media outlets have been analysed in each target country in the period of July 2021-March 2022, revealing the dominant discourses on Europeanization. The research has shown that despite visible differences, certain similarities can be observed regarding pragmatic and identity considerations related to Europeanization. The panel will provide a comparative perspective of the presented dominant discourses.
